TORONTO – A teenage boy was taken to hospital with serious injuries Tuesday afternoon after being hit by a car on Danforth Road.

The boy, 14, was hit near Danforth Road and St. Clair Avenue East in the city’s east-end just after 4 p.m. Initial reports suggest he suffered very serious injuries during the accident.

He’s being taken, via an emergency run, to the Hospital for Sick Children.

Traffic in the area could be slow as police investigate what caused the accident.
