WATCH ABOVE: Boiling water turns to snow in frigid Antarctic
TORONTO – This year the polar vortex created a fun, if not slightly dangerous game in Canada and the United States, where people created snow from boiling water. But you’ve never seen it in the pristine Antarctic.

Stuart Shaw, who works in the Antarctic, decided to do a little “cool” science of his own by taking boiling water and throwing it up and away from him as temperatures dipped to -20 C (which, admittedly, isn’t quite that cold for that climate).

Set against the sun which hovers above the horizon, the water evaporates quickly.
Of course, Stuart said that his neighbours didn’t mind him conducting the experiment at all. And who are those neighbours? You’ll see them at the end of the video.
