KELOWNA — The search for a Kelowna man wanted for the murder of his girlfriend is over.
On Tuesday morning, the body of 35 year old Amy Jane Parkes was found inside the mobile home she shared with Ryan James Quigley on Lakeshore Road.
But he had disappeared and so had the vehicle belonging to Parkes.
On Thursday morning, RCMP officers on routine patrol found the vehicle parked in an alley way in a downtown area neighbourhood.
Quigley, 34, was inside the vehicle and was arrested for murder.
He’s expected to make a first court appearance either Friday or early next week.
There had apparently been trouble recently in the couple’s relationship over money issues.
“They had been arguing about him not working or bringing any money in,” says next-door-neighbour Stephen Russell.
Parkes’ father says she had been trying to get Quigley to move out of their residence.
