A Surrey bus driver is recovering from an allegedly unprovoked attack.
The incident happened around eight last night near 144th Street and 72nd Avenue.
A man was reportedly outside having a cigarette when the driver indicated it was time for the bus to leave.
That’s when the man boarded the bus and allegedly punched the driver, breaking his nose.
The driver was taken to hospital for his injuries.

The suspect fled the scene with his girlfriend, last seen heading to 144th street. He is described by police as a white male in his late twenties or early thirties, up to 6’5” tall, with a very large build, broad shoulders, short bleached blonde hair, and large tattoo on the back of his neck. He was last seen wearing a black leather jacket.
The attack comes on the heels of another bus driver assault, when a female bus driver was allegedly punched and dragged by her hair in another seemingly unprovoked attack earlier this month, leading to an arrest and charges of assault laid against three young women.
