A Surrey bus driver is recovering from an allegedly unprovoked attack.

The incident happened around eight last night near 144th Street and 72nd Avenue.

A man was reportedly outside having a cigarette when the driver indicated it was time for the bus to leave.

That’s when the man boarded the bus and allegedly punched the driver, breaking his nose.

The driver was taken to hospital for his injuries.
