Warman affordable housing financed through HeadStart program

SASKATOON – Eleven new homes are being built in Warman, Saskatchewan to help deal with the need for affordable housing.

The two projects are part of the ‘HeadStart on a Home’ program and consist of single family homes and a duplex, ranging in price from $300,000 to $315,000.

On Friday, the Government of Saskatchewan announced it has provided $2.3 million in financing assistance, through HeadStart.

The made-in-Saskatchewan program was launched in 2011 to help finance entry-level homes in the province.

HeadStart is managed by Westcap Management Limited.

“Working closely with our Credit Union partners, we are very pleased to report that HeadStart on a Home has approved financing for the construction of 1,351 homes,” said Grant Kook, president and CEO of Westcap Management Ltd.
