EDMONTON – A total of 282 marijuana plants were seized from a Lamont home on Friday as part of a grow-op investigation.
Alberta Law Enforcement Response Teams (ALERT) Green Team North, and members of the Edmonton Police Service and Fort Saskatchewan RCMP executed a search warrant at a rural Lamont residence, and found three separate rooms used for growing marijuana with 282 plants in various stages of growth.
The estimated value of the marijuana plants seized is $338,400. Approximately $3,500 worth of growing equipment was also seized.
A 64-year-old Lamont man was arrested at the home without incident.
Vincent Dickson is charged with production of a controlled substance and possession for the purpose of trafficking.
