Plane makes emergency landing in Toronto

TORONTO – A mechanical issue on board a commercial jetliner forced the plane to make an emergency landing in Toronto on Friday morning.

The American Airlines flight landed safely at Pearson International Airport shortly after 9 a.m., said a spokesman for the Greater Toronto Airports Authority.

There were no injuries reported to passengers or crew members.
