<p>SUMMERSIDE, P.E.I. – Two people remain in intensive care following exposure to noxious gas at a recreation complex in Prince Edward Island.</p> <p>Prince County Hospital official Arlene Gallant-Bernard says another 20 people taken to hospital have since been discharged.</p> <p>Gallant-Bernard says doctors will assess the condition of the remaining patients and there is the chance they could be discharged later today.</p> <p>The fire chief for Summerside says the toxic gas was released at Credit Union Place on Wednesday after a maintenance worker inadvertently mixed hydrochloric acid and chlorine together.</p> <p>The complex was evacuated while firefighters worked to vent the building.</p> <p>The centre has since reopened to the public after being deemed safe.</p> <p>(The Canadian Press)</p>
