N.S. RCMP issues warning about caller seeking access to home computers

<p>HALIFAX – The RCMP is warning Nova Scotians about someone trying to gain access to home computers.</p> <p>The Mounties say they have received two complaints about an unknown male caller who claimed to be from Microsoft and then tried to access the person’s personal computer.</p> <p>They believe the caller in both incidents was the same person.</p> <p>The caller claimed the potential victim’s computer was infected with a virus and wanted remote access to fix it.</p> <p>The Mounties said neither of the people receiving the call allowed access to their computers.</p>
