RCMP say woman killed in single vehicle crash on N.S. Highway 101

<p>MOUNT UNIAKE, N.S. – Nova Scotia RCMP say a 41-year-old woman is dead following a single vehicle crash on Highway 101.</p> <p>Cpl. Scott MacRae says the crash occurred just after 2:30 a.m. today at Exit 3 near Mount Uniake.</p> <p>He says the victim from Dartmouth, was a passenger and was not wearing a seatbelt.</p> <p>The 30-year-old driver, who was wearing a seatbelt, was trapped inside with the victim and had to be freed by firefighters.</p> <p>He was taken to hospital with non life-threatening injuries.</p> <p>MacRae says investigators are considering whether speed or alcohol were factors in the crash.</p>
