A 45-year-old man has been arrested and charged with the second degree murder of Michael Scullion, who went missing in April 2008.
Along with second degree murder, Richard MacInnes of Rosedale, B.C. has also been charged with indignity to human remains.
The 30-year-old Scullion went missing in the early hours on April 10, 2008 and was last spotted outside the Harrison Crossroads Inn located at the 5900 block of Lougheed Highway in Agassiz, B.C.
A missing person’s investigation began and within a few days, according to police, it was determined Scullion’s disappearance was likely a result of foul play.
On April 15, 2008 the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team took over the investigation.
According to IHIT, Scullion’s body has never been found.
MacInnes will be making his first court appearance today in the Chilliwack Provincial Court.
