One person is dead and another is recovering in hospital after a stabbing at a southwest house party.
Police were called to the 11400 block of Braniff Green around 12:10 a.m. Saturday; they describe the scene when they arrived as chaotic, with a large group of young people screaming and crying.
EMS transported two males in their late teens suffering from stab wounds to the Foothills hospital; one had superficial cuts, while the other teen’s injuries were serious. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.
An EMS spokesperson says both victims were around 18-years-old.
The homicide unit is now leading the investigation.
Because of the large number of witnesses, a city bus was brought in to take them to police headquarters for questioning; investigators are interviewing as many as 60 people in the case.
So far, police have not named any suspects. An autopsy on the deceased is scheduled for Monday.
