SPIRITWOOD, Sask. – A child is unaccounted for after a house fire on a Saskatchewan First Nation early Sunday morning.
Around 1:20 a.m., RCMP were called to a fire on Witchekan Lake First Nation.
Upon arrival, police found the house totally engulfed in flames and seven people had evacuated.
One occupant, believed to be a child, is still missing.
Several people were taken to hospital for treatment of burns and smoke inhalation.
A fire scene examiner along with the Saskatchewan fire commissioners’ office have attended to the scene.
