“All tractors are getting very technologically advanced,”  said Dwayne Vandenberg from Noble Equipment Ltd. “This tractor has a continuous variable transmission, you can tie  into GPS, you can program it so at the end of your row you will have a series of functions that happen automatically, you know lifting up your 3 point hitch, activating hydraulics.  They call that headline management.”

The tractor also has comforts including a back up camera and touch screen computer.

The North American Seed Fair is also running in conjunction with Ag Expo again this year, showing the wide variety of seeds and crops that are grown in southern Alberta.  The seed fair was established in 1897.

Haney Farms near Picture Butte has a booth located near the North American Seed Fair at Ag Expo.

Sandra Smith, from Haney Farms said, “As we move forward into the 2014 cropping year, growers are trying to decide what they would like to grow. It gives them an opportunity to discuss  new varieties of seeds that are available as other innovative products that have come out and may be just been released this spring.”

Ag Expo has displays both inside and out at Exhibition Park in Lethbridge.   It will be open 9am to 5pm.
