EMS and RCMP rushed to the home, and confirmed it was the girl who was kidnapped earlier in the day when a truck was stolen from the driveway of Grande Prairie home. The baby was in the back seat.
She appeared to have not been injured, but was taken to hospital as a precaution.
At around 4:15 Tuesday afternoon, Grande Prairie RCMP located the stolen truck, thanks to a tip from the public and the an RCMP helicopter.
“The vehicle has been located and three people are in custody,” said Valiquette.
The truck was found at a forestry products mill south of Grande Praire.
A chase began, but officers were able to apprehend the three people.
No charges have been laid yet.
“We’re very, very happy to see that this child has been located and appears to be unharmed,” she added. “She’s been reunited with her family.”
The Amber Alert has since been cancelled, but the investigation into the incident continues, and anyone with information is asked to call police.
