CALGARY – Olympians are slowly making their way home to Calgary after competing in the Sochi winter games.
Fans, friends and family welcomed the first group of athletes as they arrived at the Calgary International Airport on Monday evening.
Gold medal bobsleigh champion Kaillie Humphries was among those to be greeted by a throng of cheering fans.
Her family, including her baby niece, waited at the arrivals gate to welcome her home.
More Olympians will be touching down at the airport on Tuesday at 12:15 p.m., including members of the women’s hockey team, speed skating medalist Denny Morrison and Calgary’s own Gilmore Junio.
