West Island political veteran Pierre Marsan says he won’t run again

MONTREAL – Pierre Marsan, the longtime West Island MNA for the riding of Robert-Baldwin, is stepping away from provincial politics.

The Quebec Liberal Party spokesperson for adult education announced on Monday that he will not stand in the next provincial election.

“I thank the citizens of the Robert-Baldwin riding for their support over the past 20 years,” he said in a statement.

“It has been a pleasure to represent you and work with you to develop Quebec and Canada.”

Quebec Liberal Party leader Philippe Couillard said that Marsan has made a significant contribution to Quebec politics.

“I wish to thank him for his commitment and outstanding work,” he noted.

“I wish him success in his future endeavours.”
