Two Saskatoon companies fined for labour violations

SASKATOON – Two Saskatoon companies have been fined in provincial court for labour violations.

Saskatoon Private Investigations was fined $1,740 after being found guilty of three charges under the Labour Standards Act for failing to pay final wages within 14 days of termination.

Four other charges were stayed against the company and seven charges against the directors, Greg and Todd Hrabok were also stayed.

The director of Trinity Excavating, Lee Arens, was fined $310 for failing to pay overtime under the Act.

One other charge against Arens was stayed.
