OTTAWA — Police in Australia arrested a man Thursday after he allegedly groped one of the stars of the hit TV series Modern Family.
Sarah Hyland was attending an event in Sydney hosted by Qantas when the incident occurred.
The 23-year-old star, who plays Haley on Modern Family, was posing for a photo with the man when he allegedly groped her.
Hyland alerted security guards, who called police.
A 29-year-old man was arrested at the scene and charged with assault with an act of indecency. He was granted bail and is scheduled to appear in court on March 14.

Hyland and the rest of the Modern Family cast have been in Australia since Tuesday filming scenes for the popular comedy series.
“Sorry to all the fans outside the #qantas event that I didn’t get to say hi to,” she tweeted, “but I had to leave due to an inappropriate touch of a fan.”
