Coquihalla Highway closed again due to avalanche hazard

For the second day in a row, the Coquihalla Highway has been closed due to an avalanche hazard.

The highway is currently closed in both directions from Exit 202 at the Portia Interchange to Merritt due to the “high avalanche hazard.”

On Wednesday, the highway was closed for most of the day after an avalanche near the summit.

Motorists are advised to check Drivebc.ca for updates and road conditions.
