Glatt Signs

The Edmonton Eskimos today announce the signing of free agent non-import linebacker Javier Glatt.  A veteran of seven CFL seasons, all with the BC Lions, Glatt was a 2008 CFL Western Division All-Star and a key member of BC’s 2006 Grey Cup championship team.

He played in 18 games (5 starts) with the Lions in 2009 racking up a total of 53 defensive tackles, 13 special teams tackles, two sacks, two tackles for losses, two interceptions for 46 yards, one fumble recovery and one pass knockdown.  He appeared in both the East Semi-Final and East Final recording a total of one special teams tackle.  Javier’s older brother J.P Izquierdo played nine years in the CFL, three (’93-’95) of which were with the Edmonton Eskimos where he was a part of the 1993 Grey Cup winning team
