The purchase marks Temple Hotels’ fourth hotel acquisition in Saskatchewan. The company also owns the Temple Gardens Mineral Spa Resort in Moose Jaw, The Wingate Inn in Regina, and the Saskatoon Inn Conference Centre.

Over the next three years the ten-story hotel is expected to receive $6 million in renovations – including guestroom and lobby refurbishments.

The hotel originally opened in 1927 as one of a chain of hotels constructed and owned by the Canadian Pacific Railway.
