Another good day for Canada at the Olympics in Sochi as Dominique Maltais won a silver medal in the women’s snowboard cross event on Sunday. Her medal brought Canada’s total medal count to 14.

Earlier Sunday, Calgary’s Jan Hudec broke a 20-year Canadian drought in men’s alpine skiing super-G by taking a bronze medal. He tied for third with American Bode Miller. Erik Guay, who was considered a medal favourite, missed a gate and ended with a DNF.

Canada’s curlers continued to shine as the men’s team won their fifth in a row and the women’s team maintained their perfect record.
