CALGARY – One man was rushed to hospital after a serious crash on Glenmore Trail on Wednesday afternoon.
Police say the driver of an SUV was travelling in the wrong direction on westbound Glenmore Trail S.E. when his vehicle collided with a large truck near Blackfoot Trail S.E.

Firefighters had to extricate the driver from the SUV.
He was treated on scene by EMS and transported to Foothills Hospital where he remains in serious condition.
Police say they are investigating why he was travelling the wrong direction.
The driver of the truck was uninjured.
The crash, which happened around 3:30 p.m., forced police to completely shutdown westbound Glenmore Trail S.E.
