KELOWNA — A family day skate in Kelowna is doing much more than just bringing loved ones together.
An Okanagan family lost their baby girl, Paige, at just 22 months old to leukemia.
The Moench family has now created a foundation in Paige’s honour, raising money for pediatric cancer research.
The skate raised roughyl $4,400.
“This is just an unbelievable show of support and to know the community came out today to remember Paige and to put money towards pediatric cancer research and also understand it needs to be funded and we need to be aware of that,” said Natelle Moench.
“This is an amazing turnout it was more than I ever expected.”
