TORONTO — The half-hour comedy from Canada’s Michael J. Fox has been yanked from the Thursday night schedule on NBC.

In Canada, The Michael J. Fox Show aired on Global.

A full season of 22 episodes has already been filmed but only 15 were broadcast. NBC said Wednesday the series will not return after the Sochi Olympics but remaining episodes could be shown in the spring.

NBC and Global are adding two new comedies to the prime time line-up — Growing Up Fisher starring Jason Bateman, J.K. Simmons and Jenna Elfman and About A Boy starring Minnie Driver and David Walton.

Fox, 52, had a seven-season run on Family Ties in the ’80s and spent four seasons on Spin City in the late ’90s.
