Man killed in excavator accident in Middleton

MIDDLETON, N.S. – The RCMP says a 69-year-old man has been killed in an excavator accident on private property in Middleton, N.S.

Police, the Tatamagouche Fire Services and Emergency Health Services were called to the accident Wednesday shortly before 1 p.m.

The Mounties say the man died after being trapped between the bucket arm and the body of the excavator.

Police say the Medical Examiner’s Office was investigating.
