It’s not over yet: most of New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and P.E.I are getting another dose of winter weather today.

Environment Canada has issued a weather warning as a nor’easter blows in from Cape Cod bringing high winds, rain, ice pellets and as much as 30cm of snow in some areas.

Conditions will get messy along Nova Scotia’s south shore as the system brings snow then heavy rain.

The Weather Office predicts 25mm of rainfall in Lunenburg, Queens and Shelburne counties, accompanied by wind gusting up to 100km/hr.

In Cape Breton the wind will be even stronger, possibly reaching up to 140km/hr in Les Suêtes later tonight.

Only Western P.E.I will feel the brunt of the storm after it moves in late this afternoon, bringing 15cm of snow before changing to showers early Saturday.

The nor’easter will move onto Newfoundland overnight, dropping 15-20cm of snow to western parts of the island and winds gusting up to 130/km in some place, before the storm diminishes tomorrow morning.

Global Maritimes meteorologist Trevor Adams will have the latest forecast at 6 p.m. and 11 p.m.
