More than 50,000 people attended the 41st annual Vancouver Chinatown Spring Festival Parade Sunday.
The parade kicked off at 11 a.m. at Carral and West Pender streets, winding through the streets of Chinatown up to Gore Avenue, ending on Keefer Street.
The event features 3,000 performers, dance troops, marching bands and lion and dragon dancers.
“We have our multicultural values as Canadians and this is one way to share our cultural experiences with other groups, and we also go to other events to support their cultural festivities as well,” said event organizer Jung Ing.
