CALGARY – A 35-year-old man critically injured in a crash on the QEII on Wednesday has died of his injuries.
The crash happened just north of Airdrie, around 10:30 a.m.
Police say a Nissan Frontier was northbound on Highway 2 when the driver lost control and crossed into the southbound lanes where his vehicle collided with a southbound semi.

The driver of the Nissan was rushed to hospital but later died.
His name will not be released until his family has been notified.
It was the second fatal highway crash on Wednesday; A woman was killed in a crash on the Trans-Canada Highway just east of Chestermere.
RCMP are warning motorists snow has caused the QEII to become unexpectedly slippery in several locations.
