MONTREAL – Police are investigating the slaying of a 25-year-old woman in a former motel in Roxton Pond, about 95 kilometres east of Montreal.
A person living in the building, since converted into apartments, called police Monday afternoon to report noises in a nearby lodging. When police arrived, they discovered the battered body of Marie-Elyse Tremblay, Sûreté du Québec Sgt. Eloise Cosette reported.
Tremblay was the vctim of foul play, but the cause of death would be determined by an autopsy, Cosette said. The investigation was continuing.
