Child pornography trial resumes for Saskatoon man

SASKATOON – The child pornography trial for a Saskatoon man has resumed.

Leo Baribeau, 67, is charged with accessing and possessing child pornography after police seize two computers in 2009 owned by him and allegedly found around 500 images.

Most of the pictures showed young girls between the ages of six and 12.

In court on Wednesday, Baribeau’s lawyer cross-examined the police officer who forensically examined the computers.

The trial, which has spanned four years due to lengthy adjournments, is expected to wrap up on Friday.

Baribeau is a former prominent Saskatoon businessman who co-founded Star Produce.
