CALGARY – Police have confirmed a man found dead in a Southview home on the weekend is the city’s second homicide of the year.
Officers were called to a home in the 2000 block of 27 Street S.E. around 4 p.m. on Sunday.

A man inside the house called investigators after returning home to find his roommate dead.
An autopsy has confirmed the deceased is Dennis Manual Barreira, 46, of Calgary.
Police say his cause of death is currently being withheld, but are asking anyone with information on his whereabouts over the weekend to contact them.
