Interesting Fact: Was considered a potential medal contender in both the 1000-metre and 1500-metre individual events in Vancouver, but ended up 13th and 9th in those events respectively.

Chances: He is the most decorated speed skater on the Canadian team and is considered the leader of the team that will attempt to defend the 2010 Team Pursuit gold medal. He did not qualify for the 1000-metre event this year, but could be a medal contender in the 1500-metre.
