Fire damages two carriages at Stanley Park

VANCOUVER – A suspicious overnight fire in Stanley Park has damaged two carriages used by Stanley Park Horse Drawn Tours. 

No horses have been harmed but at least two wooden carriages have been damaged in the fire at the Stanley Park Horse Drawn Tours facility located at 600 Pipeline Road in Stanley Park, according to a news release.

Vancouver police and fire investigators are continuing their investigation into the cause of the fire which broke out around 1:30 a.m. Wednesday morning and is considered to be suspicious.

 The two carriages sustained damage when the large tent-style tarps covering them caught on fire, according to the release. The investigation is continuing into what caused the blaze.
