Window blown out of Saskatoon tower during wind storm

SASKATOON – A window was blown out of a Saskatoon tower during a wind storm on Wednesday afternoon.

Emergency services were called to 410 22nd Street East at 1:55 p.m. for a window that had been blown out of the 7th floor.

Saskatoon firefighters set up a perimeter as the situation was assessed on each floor along with building staff.

Three other windows have been compromised. Fire crews and a private window repair company have secured these temporarily.

No injuries have been reported.

Saskatoon police are also on scene and have restricted traffic on 22nd Street between 4th and 5th Avenue.

The northbound lanes of 4th Avenue between 22nd and 23rd Streets have also been restricted.

Winds at time are 70 km/h gusting to 107 km/h in Saskatoon.
