Repairs underway for cracked wind turbines

TRURO, N.S. – Almost all of the 22 turbine foundations at the Nuttby Mountain wind farm in Nova Scotia are cracked.

Nova Scotia Power says all the cracks will be repaired even though problems with three of the units are within acceptable tolerance.

Enercon Canada Inc., which supplied the towers, is looking after the repairs because the towers are still under warranty.

The fix will not be complete until March at the earliest.
