Search fails to turn up missing Saskatchewan snowmobiler

KELVINGTON, Sask. – A ground and aerial search in the Kelvington, Saskatchewan area has failed to turn up a missing snowmobiler.

Dennis Malischewski, 59, was last seen riding his black Polaris snowmobile in the community on Saturday morning.

Malischewski is 6’1”, 230 pounds and was last seen wearing a black, two piece snowmobile suit and a black and yellow helmet.

He was possibly seen on Sunday around 12:45 p.m. just south of Kelvington with another snowmobiler The second snowmobiler is a man, approximately 5’6”, with dark hair and moustache and wearing a red snowmobile suit with the emblem “FOX” or “FXR” on the jacket.

Kelvington, Wadena, Archerwill and Quill Lake snowmobile clubs, the civilian air search and rescue and RCMP undertook a search of snowmobile trails in the area in an effort to locate Malischewski.

Police and volunteers are continuing their search.
