Witnesses said he appeared to be looking for someone and was attempting to conceal himself by wearing a white mask with a red bandana on his head.

At one point he attempted to enter a school but failed to gain entry.

Police responded with multiple units and took the suspect into custody.

It was at this time the weapon was found to be a replica.

The 11-year-old boy was taken home and at the request of the family the replica firearm was turned over to police.
