TORONTO — Two Canadians will be competing against each other for an Art Directors Guild (ADG) award next month in California.

Toronto’s Anastasia Masaro and Edmonton’s Todd Cherniawsky are both nominated for an Excellence in Production Design Award from the ADG in the Commercial, PSA, Promo and Music Video category.

Masaro, 39, got a nod for her work as production designer on the video for “Reflektor” by Montreal band Arcade Fire.

She was previously nominated for an ADG award in 2008 for her work on the made-in-Toronto mini-series The Company.

In 2010, Masaro was nominated for an Oscar and BAFTA for her work on The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, which was partly filmed in Vancouver.
