TORONTO — Robert Pattinson is coming back to Canada.
The British actor, who made the Twilight movies in B.C. and back-to-back David Cronenberg movies in Toronto, is set to star in Life opposite Dane DeHaan.
Filming is scheduled to take place in Toronto from Feb. 18 to March 21, 2014.
Directed by Anton Corbijn (The American), Life is based on the true story of the friendship that developed between actor James Dean (DeHaan) and photojournalist Dennis Stock (Pattinson) as they traveled across America.
The film is an Australian/Canadian/German co-production.
Pattinson, 27, shot scenes for the forthcoming Maps to the Stars in Toronto this past summer and made last year’s flop Cosmopolis in the city.
DeHaan, also 27, was at the Toronto International Film Festival in September to promote Kill Your Darlings and Metallica Through the Never. He stars in the upcoming Devil’s Knot — directed by Toronto’s Atom Egoyan — and The Amazing Spider-Man 2.
