Close call in Traders Cove

The man and his neighbour, who’s a volunteer firefighter, used extinguishers to attack the flames.

When the West Kelowna Fire Department arrived on scene, firefighters cooled down the tractor and checked the roof of the home to see if the fire had spread.

Fortunately, it seems the only damage to the home is minor thanks to fire retardant material in the siding.
