Vancouver man facing child porn charges

VANCOUVER – A Vancouver man is facing child pornography charges in connection with an international investigation dubbed Project Sanctuary.

Kenneth Douglas Sather, 40, was arrested this week by the Vancouver Police Department Vice Unit.

"This ongoing project is focusing on finding and arresting people allegedly involved in the possession and distribution of child pornography," Const. Jana McGuinness said in a news release.

Sather has been charged with two counts of distribution of child pornography and three counts of possession of child pornography. He was in court Wednesday and has since been released from custody with a number of strict conditions.

Two other men were earlier arrested by Vancouver police and also face charges in connection with the Toronto police investigation.

In October, Peter Scott Wilson, 47, was arrested at the Nicola Internet Cafe and charged with one count of possession of child pornography, one count of accessing child pornography, and two counts of importing and/or distributing child pornography.

And last May, Warren Robert Allen, 51, was arrested at his Vancouver residence and charged with possession of child pornography as well as importing/distributing child pornography.
