RCMP are investigating a bomb threat at a North Vancouver area mosque. Dozens of worshipers were evacuated from the Al-Ghadir Masjid mosque on the 300-block of Lynn Avenue just before 6 p.m. yesterday.

Police received a call from an anonymous man who claimed a bomb was about to be detonated in the Al-Ghadir Mosque last night.

The RCMP dog team was brought in to investigate, and crews spent several hours searching for any evidence.

Cpl. Richard De Jong says they are also looking for the caller.

“We are trying to determine the origin of the call, if the caller is listening to call us back.”

No bomb was located, but anyone with information about the call is being asked to contact police.
