NSR posts search videos; hopes for public’s help locating missing British tourist

North Shore Rescue has resumed their search for 22-year-old British Tourist Tom Billings.

Crews went out with helicopters yesterday to gather aerial photos and video of Grouse Mountain and Lynn Headwaters.

Photos and three videos were posted online. The hope is that by engaging the public to view the videos and photos they may be able to capture and report something that may assist in locating Billings.

Ground search teams will also be rechecking previous gullies on Grouse Mountain since the recent snow pack has melted. The search wrapped up earlier this week, but with the snow melting, crews will have a better look at the area.

The Billings family is funding the recent search effort. The father of the missing tourist is desperately making pleas for any information the might help find his son. He was last seen November 25 on the 1400 block of East Broadway. The avid hiker is believed to have taken a bus to the North Shore for a hiking excursion.
