The race to finish the christmas list on time and on budget is getting some outside help.
It’s estimated nearly six in ten mobile users will be relying on their phone for holiday shopping. With smart phones, shoppers can compare prices, store loyalty and gift cards, make wish lists and get discounts at their favorite stores. But that’s just the start.
Barcode scanner apps like ScanLife and Barcode Scanner are popular with many shoppers, as they allow smart phone owners to turn their devices into mobile barcode scanners. There are several apps available that will help you keep track of who’s on your list, and others that will help you stay on budget. There is even an app that will help you find your car in the parking lot once you’ve wrapped up your shopping.
As for why we are using our smart phones to shop, mobile marketing experts say research shows that consumers would rather use their phone to find out information about a product or a store than speak to a staff member.
