SHR workers consistent with own flu shots

SASKATOON – The Saskatoon Health Region (SHR) says it immunized 61,541 people this during flu clinics.

SHR influenza clinics started on Oct. 21 and ran until Dec. 16.

From Oct. 9 2012 to Dec. 16 2012, a total of 54,289 people were vaccinated in the region.

This year, around 7,100 physicians and staff voluntarily received the shot. This represents 63 per cent of its workforce and is the same percentage as 2012.

The region was shooting for 80 per cent compliance.

SHR says residents can receive a free flu shot until the end of March.
