Edmonton police searching for suspect following overnight shooting

EDMONTON – Police are investigating a shooting in southeast Edmonton that sent a man to hospital.

Officers were called to the area of 48 Street and Mill Woods Road South shortly before 1:30 a.m. Friday.

When they arrived at the scene, they found a man with a gunshot wound. He was taken to hospital, where he remains in stable but critical condition.

According to police, witnesses reported hearing several gunshots; however investigators were not able to find any suspects in the area.
