WINNIPEG – A fire in northwest Winnipeg killed Donna Krywenko, 73, on Thursday evening.
Krywenko was taken from the Tyndall Park home just after 9 p.m. It appeared paramedics were working to resuscitate her as she was rushed to the hospital, a witness said.

The fire started in a bedroom and caused approximately $200,000 damage, police said.
Krywenko, who was partially deaf for most of her life, lived alone in the house at 325 Tyndall Ave.
She had two sons and grandchildren, a family member said. Her husband died in 2002.
