It might be a smoother commute this morning for drivers using Highway One in Vancouver and Burnaby.

All four eastbound lanes between Cassiar and Kensington are now open to traffic.

The remaining eastbound lanes from Kensington to Brunette will open in the coming days.

By Christmas, crews say all the widened lanes will hopefully be open to traffic west of the Port Mann bridge.
